The Tesla Service Engineering Team:
The Service Engineering team at Tesla is responsible for creating high-quality technical illustrations and documentation for after-sales activities, including diagnostics and repair procedures. You’ll be directly involved in crafting step-by-step visual guides and diagrams for vehicle repair, maintenance, and owner-facing documentation.
What You’ll Do:
- Create accurate line drawings, renderings, and 3D animations using CATIA V5/V6 CAD data for parts catalogs, diagrams, and step-by-step procedures
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and Technical Writers to produce high-quality manuals and service documentation for both internal and external use
- Develop detailed, fully-rendered illustrations from photos or CAD data using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
- Create 3D technical drawings, exploded views, and illustrations using tools like Keyshot or 3D via Composer

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a creative student with a strong background in technical writing or illustrations who possesses:
- Enrollment in a Technical Writing, Publishing, or related field with a graduation date between 2025 and 2026
- Experience creating technical illustrations using 3D authoring tools like Keyshot or 3D via Composer
- Familiarity with CAD programs (CATIA V5/V6, SolidWorks, Autodesk, or similar)
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to manipulate/edit existing exploded views and technical drawings
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.

Expected Compensation
$22.84 – $31.97 per hour + benefits (Pay varies depending on factors like location, skills, and experience.)
