Program Overview
The IMF Fund Internship Program (FIP) is a fully funded summer internship in the USA open to students of all nationalities. Approximately 50 students from around the world will join this exciting and challenging 10-to-12-week paid program at IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C., running between June and September 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- For Economist: Within one to two years of completing a PhD in macroeconomics or related field
- For Legal Department: One to two years away from completing LL.M., J.D., or equivalent law degree
- Currently enrolled as a student at a university worldwide
- Age below 32 years
- Fluency in English (written and oral)
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and computer skills
